Upcoming Change to Product Package Names
To improve clarity and consistency, HOOPS will adopt a unified naming scheme across all products. New package names will include product, version, platform, architecture, and compiler details. This change will take effect no earlier than the 2025.7.0 release in mid-September 2025.

HOOPS Communicator 2025.6.0 is based on HOOPS Visualize 2025.6.0, HOOPS Exchange 2025.6.0, and HOOPS Publish 2025.6.0.

API Changes

An IMaterial interface has been added. It concentrates all material attributes supported in the WebViewer. With this interface, new methods have been added to the following Model classes:

  • getNodesMaterial
  • resetNodesMaterial
  • setNodesMaterial

Enhancements

WebViewer Updates

The WebViewer user interface (UI) is changing. Since the release of HOOPS Communicator 2025.2.0, a new UI for the WebViewer has been introduced, designed around Web Components.

HOOPS Communicator 2025.6.0 adds these new panel components:

  • Demo application settings: Graphics, Controls and Interface
  • Measurement tools, redline markups editing and creation, and selection modes
  • IFC relationships with navigation helpers
  • IFC types present in the BIM model
